Supporting records

Track time and money with farm work

Record costs, income, purchases, labor, basic inventory, and basic equipment information where they belong—without turning YFS into accounting software.

Workflow at a glance
  1. 1Start with a real purchase, cost, income event, or labor session
  2. 2Link the record to the operation when useful
  3. 3Use inventory for operational stock
  4. 4Keep equipment basic
The workflow
  1. Start with a real purchase, cost, income event, or labor session

Do not backfill every receipt before tracking the work in front of you.

  2. Link the record to the operation when useful

Attach it to the crop, hive, flock, place, or other farm work it supports when you know that relationship.

  3. Use inventory for operational stock

Track inputs and produced goods only where quantities, storage, or use history will help operations.

  4. Keep equipment basic

Use equipment records for identification, notes, and purchase/cost information. Maintenance systems and telemetry are outside the launch scope.
